We are thrilled to also receive an Official Dealer Outerwear status - one of the few official dealers selected by Stanley/Stella.

Environmental commitment

Production is ensured in an ecological and sustainable way. This means that the manufacturer respects high-level environmental criteria along the entire textiles supply chain and requires compliance with social criteria as well.

Stanley/Stella is certified to GOTS, OE 100, OE Blended, OEKO TEX, PETA-Approved Vegan and REACH. The brand uses certified organic cotton and other natural or recycled materials exclusively.

Materials

Natural fibers
Most of the Stanley/Stella clothing is made from 100% organic cotton. Organic cotton is a natural, GMO-free fibre that uses less water than standard cotton. In addition, its production does not involve the use of chemicals (no fertilisers or pesticides) and encourages rotation of crops to keep soil healthier, more fertile and maintain humidity. Moreover, it has a positive impact on the farmworkers' and customers' health.
Another material used is linen, a tough natural fibre that is extremely eco-friendly. It can be grown without the use of either chemicals or irrigation. Natural precipitation is all that it requires.

Artificial fibers
Lenzing Tencel® and Modal® are biodegradable and made from eucalyptus or beech tree pulp. Eucalyptus is known for being a fast-growing wood that does not require irrigation. The result is silky smooth fabric.
Recycled polyester and recycled cotton are used in the manufacture of the jackets and the tote bags.
The Global Recycled Standard label certifies that the materials used are recycled: in the case of polyester, from plastic bottles, and for cotton, from cutting waste. GRS also guarantees compliance with social and environmental criteria such as treatment of waste water, the absence of certain toxic additives and respect for working conditions in Stanley/Stella's partner factories.

Reduction of water consumption

Water is our treasure. Stanley/Stella tries to reduce its consumption as much as possible. Exclusive use of organic cotton creates a healthy soil that uses water more efficiently and is more resistant to dry conditions. By eliminating the use of synthetic pesticides, insecticides and fertilizers, organic cotton production keeps waterways and drinking water safe and clean.
All Stanley/Stella partner factories have invested in a biological wastewater treatment system that maximizes water recycling for further use in refrigeration, irrigation or sanitation.
High-performance machines are used to reduce the water consumption in the dyeing process by more than 50%.

Social commitment

Stanley/Stella partner factories strictly apply the International Labor Organization (ILO) conventions and standards. Stanley/Stella has a team of 19 people in Dhaka, Bangladesh, who visit and check each partner factory on a daily basis to make sure garment workers have decent salary, their rights are respected and there is no gender-based discrimination. The partner factories must also be approved by an independent body according to the strictest "Fire & Building" standards.
Stanley/Stella is a recognised member of the Fair Wear Foundation, a Dutch independent association whose members are committed to improving the working conditions in the textile industry.
Most of the Stanley/Stella products are GOTS certified. GOTS not only tracks the entire chain of production from farm to factory but also ensures compliance with the labour standards of the International Labour Organisation throughout the chain of production.

GOTS Certified Stanley/Stella textile together with our GOTS certified print makes for a completely certified GOTS merch. Product you can be confident is being produced with environmentally sustainable and ethical manufacturing practices.
